PAR was founded in July 2011 as an emblematic, informal working group, associated with ACAROM – Automobile Manufacturers’ Association from Romania, the sole representative of the national automotive industry, founded in 1996, unifying over 160 companies of the auto segment.
ACAROM is the representative of ACEA in Romania, European Automobile Manufacturers' Association.
PAR consists of important investors and employers of the automotive area, with R&D&I activities.

Infineon Technologies Romania & CO SCS was founded on April 2005, as a subsidiary of Infineon Technologies Austria AG. Located in North Bucharest, it employs today more than 300 highly skilled engineers assuming research and development responsibilities for the global Infineon group and it has an area over of 7500sqm including 1000sqm dedicated to laboratories equipped with the most advanced test and validation equipment. Star Transmission & Star Assembly are two Daimler subsidiaries in the heart of Romania, in Alba County.
Star Transmission, in Cugir, manufactures gearwheels and shafts as well as machined components for engines, transmissions and steering systems.
Star Assembly was set up in 2013 in Sebes, with production of the five-speed automatic transmission launching in the same year, while the first seven-speed automatic transmission left the assembly line one year later, in 2014. Since 2016 we also assemble the newest type of gearboxes: the 9G-Tronic.
The German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Romania) was founded in September 2002 and has currently more than 550 members. Thus, it is the largest bilateral Chamber in Romania and the official representative of the German economy in our country. AHK Romania, among other German Chambers from all over the world (IHK), is part of the global network of German bilateral Chambers belonging to the Union of German Commerce Chambers (DIHK).
AHK is actively supporting German companies to enter the Romanian market and, on the other hand, works as a partner for Romanian companies who are interested in the German market, through the services it provides and the events it organizes. Moreover, it is an important platform for networking, exchange of information and experiences, not only for its members, but also for other interested companies. Furthermore, the Chamber is involved in implementing the dual learning system in Romania similar to the German model and it has created both the GreenTech platform econet romania and the Permanent Arbitration Court. About Schaeffler Romania
Schaeffler Romania is a significant production unit of the Schaeffler Group. The company is the largest investment of the Group in Eastern Europe and manufactures since 2004 parts for the automotive industry and for the heavy industry.
The large location occupies today a built area of 100,000 square meters and operates production in six halls with more than 4,000 employees.
The development stages of the company were complex and fast, adding in 2012 the Engineering Center.
